Sponsorship advice?

Hello everyone,

I just wondered if anyone could suggest the best way to attract and request sponsors for our children's shows? This year we have done a relatively small scale production but hoping to increase this next year and a little extra budget would be nice?

Thanks,

Sophie

Act One Theatre Company, Cardiff University's Drama Society, presents Heart of a Dog by Mikhail Bulgakov.

Directed by Aleks Ford the story tells the tale of Sharik, a stray mongrel, starved, and on the verge of death when he finds himself being rescued by the world-famous rejuvenation therapist Professor Philip Philipovich. Gone---

In the midst of Joseph rehearsals and set building I have written a 15 minute play, commissioned by Act One Drama Society to be presented as part of their staging a coup event which occurs once a year to celebrate new writing and directing. I am lucky enough to have students from Act One assisting with my production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dream Coat and loan of their power tools on occasion so this is a great opportunity to give something back to the…

Wales Millenium Centre Make It Yours Performance

Last Sunday Ascendance braved the weather to assemble in the Wales Millenium Centre to perform an hour long variety show as part of their Make It Yours programme.

Our dress rehearsal on Saturday was missing at least half the cast due to being snowed in and unable to travel- The staff walked in and I'm incredibly grateful for their dedication! We were expecting chaos on the Sunday, and this was confirmed when messages came flooding in in the morning with performers still unable to…

Joseph and his Amazing Technicoloured Dream Coat

Although this is not the first production I have produced, I constantly feel like I am coming up against new challenges- this is mostly to do with rehearsing the 30 strong cast of children aged 3- 15 years. How do you get 3 and 4 year olds to get onto stage, dance across the stage and exit at the right time whilst also ensuring they are in the correct costume, do not trip over the set, do not fall off the stage, and ensure the principles (aged 9 years+)  continue to sing and dance…
