Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...The Chimes

We have just returned from Llanfechain, right on the border between Oswestry and Welshpool. What a wonderful village hall it is. We had a great reception in a hall as the village was playing football on the pitch next door. The community has pitched together to raise the money to save and re-develop the hall and what a great job they've done. The community flocked to support the show and The Chimes was played to a packed house filled with the villagers from 8 to 80 years of age. Thank you.…

Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

We opened our latest show, On Scarborough Front, this week in Cefn Hengoed School, Swansea, and have performed all over the county and in a few theatres too. Stuart Fortey, the author, has done a great job at presenting a very human story of two men in the face of war coming to terms with their responsibilities and fears, and the students have responded really well to it (I even overheard one saying 'I think I might have cried at the end').
