Casting Breakdown - Aberystwyth Mon Amour

Lighthouse Theatre in Swansea is casting the following roles in its forthcoming theatre tour of Malcolm Pryce's adaptation of his Welsh Noir cult novel Aberystwyth Mon Amour.

It seems hard to believe that on Saturday, will be finishing our association with Return Journey and that we will be launching our first Dylan Thomas Performance app.

Dylan Thomas' Return Journey marks the culmination of five years of work on Thomas' masterful broadcast and seems to be a fitting legacy in the 75th year since the Three Nights' Blitz that inspired it.

We are looking for a South Wales-based DSM to work with us on our exciting autumn project, Aberystwyth Mon Amour.

This is a new play, adapted from the best-selling novel by Malcolm Pryce. The author himself has adapted the novel.

We undertook our own sort of Return Journey last week. To New York. Having spent a great deal of my twenties there it was a fascinating insight into how much the city has changed over the last ten years. Amazing. 

Some things, thankfully, haven't changed; and for a Dylanophile like me it was important to visit once again the White Horse, and it was great to see that it simply hasn't changed a jot! And the beer is great too...…

Today was the first day in our Spring Term Schools' Project in Swansea. Dylan Thomas' Return Journey for Key Stage Two students.
We opened the project in Hendrefoilan Primary School, and the students were fantastic. They engaged with DT's words and threw themselves into the workshop with gusto.
Many thanks to the students for a great start.

We're getting ready for this term's Schools Project. Return Journey in primary schools in Swansea - we begin in Hendrefoilan on Monday. Very pertinent as it is the 75th anniversary of the Three Nights' Blitz in a few weeks' time. Good luck to all of the commemorative events that are happening.

One of things that we are putting together in preparation for Aberywtyth Mon Amour in September is a downloadable MP3 walking tour called 'Louie Knight's Aberystwyth'.

We have finished the script and are looking forward to getting over to Chocolate Fox Audio to get the soundtrack down.

It really is happening....

Yesterday was our final day of work of the year.

We were recording Goat Street Runners and Return Journey for 'release' to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Three Nights' Blitz on Swansea. It was a great day, and it was good fun meeting up with the old teams again.

With luck, they will be available to download and hear by the end of next month.

I've spent this afternoon working on the posters for our next couple of shows. A festive Poems and Pints in the Park on the 21st December and On Scarborough Front in the Grand in March next year. Here they are; they aren't finished yet, but I hope you like them. And even if you don't, why don't you come along to the shows anyway?…

Our autumn tour has drawn to a close with a final performance of On Scarborough Front at Pontarddulais Comprehensive School.
