Super Assembly Bangor - an experience

The wind howled around the  clock face of Bangor's central meeting point,  Huddled around its base were the Super Assembly audience, justifiably nervous as  the event was advertised as happening on the streets of Bangor.   This was the point; the premiss of the Assembly was that there is nowhere for the youth of Bangor to go, nothing for them to do and yet the town is home to a university and it hosts a thriving student community.  Could Bangor be the poster…

Production Manager needed for gig on Anglesey

NTW are thinking about doing a project on Anglesey with rehearsals starting in mid May with performances starting mid June leading to a tour that would end mid July.

We are particularly interested in hearing from Production Managers based in or near Anglesey.  Some knowledge of small scale touring and projection would be an advantage.

Wyn Jones

As you may be aware Wyn Jones, a member of this community, passed away unexpectedly at the end of last week.

Wyn was a leading figure in the technical theatre community in Wales and he encouraged and supported many fledgling careers.  Wyn had just left Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru where he was Technical and Operations Manager for some years and he was returning to freelance work.

Technician and SM Website for Wales

NTW and The Wales Technical Managers Forum want to create a list of all SMs and technicians working on Wales with a view to creating a website that anybody can access when looking for staff.

Hopefully we can create a comprehensive list of who is out there which should improve their opportunities and make it easier to identify the many talented people currently living and working in Wales

DSM needed

NTW are looking for an experienced DSM for our forthcoming production of Coriolanus.  Rehearsals and performance will be in St Athan.

Rehearsals commence on  9th July with performances starting week commencing 6th August with the final performance on August 18th.
