New Welsh Writing set for London

I am an ex-pat Welshman living in England (for my sins) and working as a teacher whilst running my own company Breakwater Theatre Company and writing scripts.

We will be bringing my full-length monologue, "FIT", will be performed at the London Theatre in New Cross on Saturday 11th February. It is hoped that we may get to perform the run in Cardiff at some point as well, but, in the meantime, any support would be welcome.

The Hotel de Marl - a 12 minute play set in Grangetown.

For some time now I have wanted to explore the story of the "Hotel de Marl" in Grangetown as the subject matter for a piece of theatre. Hundreds of working class men defied the government of the day, to get round the 1881 Sunday Closing Act which prohibited pubs from opening and banned the sale of alcohol on a Sunday.
