Memorial Day - a new play by Welsh author W.A.Drew

On the evening of Memorial Day 2010, four women who have lost their husbands in various American wars meet for supper at the New England costal home of Martha Lockwood a poet in her 80s. Though very dissimilar, the poets Robert Bridges and Gerard Manley Hopkins were friends for over a quarter of a century. One became Poet Laureate while the other died in obscurity. Yet, in the years that followed, things were to change in ways neither man would ever expect.
