OPPORTUNITY - LEAD CREATIVE SCHOOLS - PILLGWENLLY PRIMARY SCHOOL

About the project

As part of ACW Lead Creative Schools Scheme, Pillgwenlly Primary School are looking to collaborate with a Drama Practitioner/Creative Writer to work with Year 2 Pupils to develop their oracy skills. Their aim is to discover and develop creative techniques that would help and inspire the children to be more creative during oracy tasks and embed the techniques to feed into their written work.

They are looking to collaborate with an enthusiastic and adaptable practitioner with experience of working with young children who will be able to develop the Five Creative Habits of Mind. They would like the project to focus on creating and telling stories and discovering imaginative ways to do this whilst focusing on key elements of the curriculum. They are open to different ways to interpret this i.e. through drama, puppetry, movement, clowning, poetry etc. During the project they would love the opportunity for the children to show their parents some of the techniques they have learnt in a workshop style session.

They are hoping to hear from Drama Practitioners and Story Writers that will capture the imagination of young children, giving them confidence to tell and write their own stories long after the project has finished.

When
The successful practitioner(s) will be involved in the project planning which will start in December 2018/early January 2019 with the project finishing in the Spring term 2019. Project reflection and evaluation taking place Spring/Summer Term 2019.

I hope you will find a nice staff for your project. I’m a creative writer and I make some content for academic sources like Answershark ( example of article review and other writing tips) and I'm actually thinking about tutoring at college. New assignments are never a waste of time
