Actors wanted for StoryHackathon - at the WMC, this Wednesday 17th

Hi all,
My name is Rhys Miles Thomas - and I'm the DigitalManager at Cyfle
This Wednesday (17th of July), we're running a really exciting event at the WMC, called a StoryHackathon
A StoryHackathon is a fast paced, exciting event, where teams of people will come together to produce a 5 minute performance piece - all in one day
The teams will be given a common set of stimuli ( images and such), and will then have 8 hours to conceive, create and produce a 5 minute story that has to have live as the main platform, but must also have a digital element - and can include video, sound, graphics and so on
At the end of the day, they will present the finished work to an invited panel of experts in the field
Think Scrapheap Challenge but for Performance and Storytelling
I'm looking for actors to take part in the event, performing the live and recorded elements. It's a great opportunity for those who want to get involved with Digital work, and also those who want to be at the cutting edge of performance and storytelling
You will need to be available from 2.30pm until 8pm at night (where you will be performing to a panel of experts - including John Mgrath and Alison Norrington - International Transmedia Expert)
This is a free event - no one is getting paid to take part
If you would like more information, then please contact rhys@cyfle.co.uk
Thanks!
Rhys

Hello Rhys,

All sounds very interesting, unfortunately I can't come (later today) at short notice....but best of luck with this

and I may well be interested in getting involved if any further ones go on in future.

Best Wishes   Nigel
