Such a shame that amateur theatre doesn't get more publicity.  After all, most of our wonderful professional actors started by taking part in school performances, or by joining a local amateur theatre group.

It would really be appreciated if National Theatre Wales kept in touch with NODA and like organisations - or indeed with amateur groups all over Wales.

There is a tremendous amount of talent involved in amateur theatre. - people who have not taken that step to apply for drama college and are content to teach, be a solicitor, be a housewife.  They too should be acknowledged for the quality of their work.

Powers that be, I challenge you to come to watch amateur performances from time to time.  I hope you will use your resources to support all actors, directors and technicians whether they be paid or unpaid.

Here, Here! I used to be involved in amateur productions before I moved into doing it as a profession and I still go and see amateur productions.
