An Inspector Calls -- Cardiff, Swansea, Llandudno -- looking for extras

Hello NTW Community,

We are currently recruiting for supernumerary actors to perform in the Number One Tour of An Inspector Calls. This production, originally produced by the Royal National Theatre in 1992 and directed by Stephen Daldry, the director of Academy Award-winning blockbusters Billy ElliotThe Hours and The Reader, has toured to international acclaim and will be playing at the New TheatreCardiffMarch 27th – 31st 2012, Grand TheatreSwanseaMay 1st – 5th 2012 and Venue CymruLlandudnoMay 8th – 12th 2012.

The show requires 10 - 12 supernumerary actors (non-speaking) who are on stage during the epic and breathtaking finale of the show. The role of these actors is vital and integral to Stephen's radical direction. We need a variety of ages and a mix of men and women, though I'm afraid I can only cast from eighteen years up due to licensing laws.

All you need to do is send an email to aninspectorcalls2012@gmail.com with your details including age, gender, waist or dress size and your availability for the technical rehearsal on the Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm at the relevant theatre (Cardiff: Tuesday March 27th, Swansea: Tuesday May 1st and Llandudno: Tuesday May 8th). All the supernumerary actors should be able to appear in all performances, which are as follows:

Tuesday 7.30pm

Wednesday 2.30pm & 7.30pm

Thursday 2.30 & 7.30pm

Friday 7.30pm

Saturday 2.30 & 7.30 pm

You can find out more about the show at www.aninspectorcalls.com -- the third picture in the gallery section is of the group of supernumerary actors from the most recent West End run. The engagement is unpaid, but a rare opportunity to perform in an iconic show, and is always great fun. It's a good way to meet other local actors and to get a chance to see how a technically and dramatically complex show is staged.

anyone else you think may be interested, and they should respond directly to aninspectorcalls2012@gmail.com with your details as above. I should add that this opportunity is open to a number of groups, and so the sooner interest is registered the more likely people will be able to perform in the show. Once a group is assembled from the replies we receive, we will send out a confirmation email.

With all best wishes,

Finn Beames
