Hello blog peeps.

Ok, so I know that by now you are all used to the comedy blogging genius of Mr Boyd "Bertolt" Clack, but I thought you should know something of the other side of the rehearsal process.

It is a method I like to call "Sheer Bloody Panic"!!!!! (a good name for a band methinks?!)

So, as some of you may know, we've had a bit longer than usual to rehearse 'A Good Night Out....' and that has been invaluable to all of us. We have had a chance to really work with John as a group and as individuals. We've gone into the minute details of each character and each scene (although I believe that we could delve deeper into the back story of the nurse, she has so much more to say that will never be heard!) The actors and stage management team are such lovely people (despite what you may have read in Boyd's blogs) that even at times when I have felt like my brain may explode and ooze out of my eye sockets, we still manage to have a bloody good laugh.

However........ It sank in with me today that we open NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!! In the words of the late Sir Laurence Olivier "I am sh*tting a brick!"

I am certain that, as always, the things we have been working on in rehearsals will all suddenly click into place next week and I will be wondering why I ever panicked in the first place. But, as I sit here typing this blog and trying not to curl into a tiny kitten-like ball in the corner of my bedroom, that moment of clarity seems so very far away.

Having said all of this, I have complete confidence in John's direction, Alan's lovely script and my fellow thespinators Boyd, Huw, Ollie, Sharon and Siwan... and the highly under-rated Boxer.

We will have one hell of a show and everyone who comes to see it is guaranteed a good night out in the valleys (see what I did there?) So I hope you all have your tickets booked and we will see you there.

Night peeples xxxx

No need for fear, Amy - with all the good thoughts and excitement everyone's feeling it can't fail to be a success! Besides, I saw the run-through last week so I know it'll be good. Hope Boxer enjoys his 15 mins of fame and glory! x
