Hi everyone,

The following opportunity is available through the Arts Council of Wales’ Lead Creative Schools scheme, at Hendredenny Park Primary in Caerphilly.

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Creative Practitioner, for a creative learning project to improve standards in oracy and writing in Year 5.

The ideal candidate will have experience in writing for performance. Your art form(s) might include: script writing (eg: for screen, stage or radio); acting-devising or theatre-making; song-writing; storytelling; spoken word poetry, stand-up comedy.

The project will take place during the 2018 spring term (January to March / April 2018). The precise timeframe and number of sessions will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The total budget for the project is £5,000, to include Practitioner delivery and planning fees (at a rate of £250 per full day), plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses. The budget also includes project-relevant materials.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 5pm Tuesday 17th October.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 26th October, at Hendredenny Park Primary School, Groeswen Lane, Caerphilly, CF83 2RL

The school is located approximately 30 minute drive from central Cardiff, and is a 20 minute walk from Aber train station.

The successful Creative Practitioner must be able to attend a two day training session with Arts Council Wales, taking place between 17th – 24th November (unless they have already attended practitioner training for a previous Lead Creative Schools project.)

For further details about this opportunity, please email me (williamsmh@hotmail.com) and School Coordinator Lorraine Llewellyn  (rainee77@sky.com) and attach a copy of your CV.

Best wishes,

Mark
