Casting Call
The Mozart Effect


Arts Active the education and audience engagement section of St David’s Hall the
National Concert Hall of Wales are casting two actors to be in a concert for schools’
in February. Performing alongside 6 musicians, the actors will help guide the
audience through the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Both actors will be adult performers. They should be lively physical performers and
will need to be strong singers. They play themselves as narrators initially and
then:-


JJ
JJ is a 7 year old boy. He loves football and is very energetic. He likes being able to
move about and run around. Not sit still and listen to music! The actor should have
a baritone voice.


Floella.
Floella is JJ’s 14 year old sister. She loves music and reading. She has a music
project on Mozart is very keen that her’s is the best in the class. The actor can be
either an Alto or Soprano.


The production will be rehearsing in Cardiff during February and the
performance will be at St David’s Hall on the 19 February 2013.
A shortlist of the applicants will be invited to audition.
