AUDITION – Cardiff, 15^th April 2012 (by invitation only)

Tanja Råman and John Collingswood are looking to recruit a team of professional dancers for their new full-length production: Beyond the Body, co-produced by Taliesin, funded by the Arts Council of Wales and supported by Run and Become, NDCWales, Cardiff Met and Chapter.

Beyond the Body will be in rehearsal from 28^th August 2012 for 11 weeks, the first 7 weeks of this period will be part-time. The work premieres at Taliesin in Swansea on 8^th November and it goes on tour to 5 other Welsh venues during November, with a possible international tour in 2013.

We are looking for 5 exceptional dancers who have experience at devising dance work. The first part of the project will involve dancers’ physical and mental preparation, specially developed for the work, as researched in Tanja’s choreo5 project last year (see choreo5.com for more details).

The production is based on research into elements of extra-sensory perception, states of consciousness and shamanism, amongst others, therefore an openness and sensitivity to the more spiritual sides of human experience is essential.

CLYWELIAD – Caerdydd, 15 Ebrill 2012 (drwy wahoddiad yn unig)

Mae Tanja Råman a John Collingswood yn awyddus i recriwtio tîm o ddawnswyr proffesiynol ar gyfer eu cynhyrchiad llawn newydd: Beyond the Body, a gynhyrchir ar y cyd gan Taliesin, a ariennir gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, ac a gefnogir gan Run and Become, NDCWales, Cardiff Met a’r Chapter.

Bydd Beyond the Body yn ymarfer o 28 Awst 2012 am 11 wythnos gyda’r 7 wythnos gyntaf yn rhan amser. Cynhelir yr ymddangosiad cyntaf yn Nhaliesin yn Abertawe ar 8 Tachwedd ac yna bydd yn mynd ar daith i 5 lleoliad arall yng Nghymru ym mis Tachwedd, gyda thaith ryngwladol bosibl yn 2013.

Rydym yn chwilio am 5 dawnsiwr rhagorol sydd â phrofiad o ddyfeisio gwaith dawns. Bydd rhan gyntaf y prosiect yn cynnwys paratoad corfforol a meddyliol dawnswyr, wedi’i ddatblygu’n arbennig ar gyfer y gwaith, fel yr ymchwiliwyd ym mhrosiect choreo5 Tanja y llynedd (gweler choreo5.com am ragor o fanylion).

Bydd y cynhyrchiad yn seiliedig ar waith ymchwil i elfennau o ganfyddiad allsynhwyraidd, cyflwr ymwybyddiaeth a siamaniaeth, ymysg eraill, ac felly mae bod yn agored a sensitif i ochrau mwy ysbrydol o brofiad dynol yn hanfodol.
