Bandwagon Theatre: Our Edinburgh Fringe (Day 2)

The tech rehearsal. I can proudly say that it went well. Of course, it wasn't without some slight hiccups but we did it in the small time slot we were given and are now ready to get going with the first show.

RULE NUMBER 2: Have an incredibly organised plan for your tech rehearsal, there won't be enough time for a run.

Having successfully made it through the tech it was then on to hit the royal mile with flyers. And then the heavens opened, in true Edinburgh style. We persisted none the less and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Some people don't want to know (in fact, one gentleman had truly had enough by the time I approached him and he threw his flyers at me) but I can't help thinking that they surely know what they're in for when they head down the royal mile?! For every person that doesn't want to know, there only needs to be one person who stops, asks questions, takes a flyer and seems genuinely interested for you to be suddenly feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. At least one person will come and see our show, so let's give that one person the best show they'll ever see.

Great blog Kat - keep it going. I'm sure as the festival goes on it'll be harder to find the time and energy but it's great to have a record of what it's like to take a show up there for everyone else to read.

Hope it goes well & I'm going to come & see the show week after next.
