The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport has three Youth Theatres which meet every saturday during term times. This year we have decided to take our youth theatre to the next level and compete in National Theatre Connections 2015.

We are really excited by this opportunity, and are looking to recruit more members to the group to help us create the best piece of Youth Theatre to ever come out of Newport!

Thanks to generous Arts Council Wales funding we are able to run this strand of our Youth Theatre at NO COST to it's members and are looking to recruit young people aged between 13 and 19 who are interested in all aspects of theatre making. We need actors, directors, technicians, set designers, stage managers and marketing and front of house enthususiasts. Everyone will be given the opportunity to be mentored by a professional and gain excellent skills, have an amazing time and create outstanding theatre too.

We're holding an informal open day on Saturday October 25th, where there'll be fun workshops and the chance to meet the team and find out more.
