Calling all writers! Let’s get Dirty, Gifted & Welsh again!

Sign up to Dirty Gifted & Welsh's Scratch Space and have your writing transformed into live performance!

Anyone can sign up to perform or have their work performed. We just ask that the work is somehow related to the written word for performance... DGW is a celebration of new Welsh writing.

The Scratch Space will be running from midday until 6pm at the Angel Hotel, Cardiff on Sunday 28th February - hosted by myself and wonderfully talented Natasha Borton.

There will be 4 actors in the space for you to work with (2 male, 2 female), but you can also perform your own work if you wish, or ask friends. Please note, we can't guarantee that the actors in our ensemble will be the right age/gender/anything for your piece, so please be prepared to be flexible.

To sign up for the Scratch Space you must comment on THIS BLOG in the space below to let me know what time you want to book. Then message me with your name and a contact email / phone number, so that we can keep in touch with you before the day.

Once you have commented below, AND I have received your contact details, I will then add your name to the schedule in this blog and your performance space will be confirmed.

This is my first Dirty, Gifted & Welsh and I’m excited to see the wealth of writing talent an event like this showcases! #DGW2016

Good morning all. Im afraid that on my travels from London yesterday I took ill and wont be able to attend today. There is now an open slot at 1pm should someone wish to take it. Best wishes to you all and I look forward to the next event Cxx

If there are any slots left, I would really appreciate the chance of hearing/seeing my latest Theatre Script. Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone, I'm a shiny new member and would love to nab the last slot to work on a scene from a TV pilot (Babushka) that I am currently developing. Thx in advance, /Zen :-)

Hey, I'm a visual artist and have a piece of writing for two voices that I'd like to hear out loud. It's closer to 5mins at the moment. 5pm would work for me if its free?

Comment by Natasha Borton on February 22, 2016 at 5:23

Hey! Can I pop something in too?

I'm so excited to see what everyone brings!

Comment by Sophie McKeand on February 22, 2016 at 2:26

Hi Chris - just bring it along on the day. Probably best to have a 10min script so you've got 5mins beforehand to chat to the actors about it?

cheers!

Hiya Sophie, any time available would be wonderful, thank you

Cheers - I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your work.

Much love
