Casting Call: Blud by Kelly Jones

otherMother is a new Wales based theatre company launching in September 2015.  This is a great opportunity to be part of the launch of the company, and Kelly Jones’ debut play in Wales.

We are casting for two female actors.  This is a new writing piece and we will continue to make tweaks through first week of rehearsals.  Both actors will be on stage for the duration of the play.  Successful applicants will be playing sisters and will need a strong connection, and a similar look or similar mannerisms.  Both actresses should be playful.

The play is set in the fictional town of Cotley, South London, situated next to the typically fictional middle class area of Helmsgate. It’s a town that has been forgotten about, rich in community and poor in economy. Its people look out for each other and join together on Saturday afternoons to support their local football team (The Cotley Blues). This is the highlight of the week.
