Hello, I am working on a second year film for the University of South Wales, Newport. Myself and my crew have got dates to do casting auditions next week on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th.

The Premise:

Just A Game (Working Title)

DOMINIC “THE DON” ROBERTSON is the reigning champion of a local pool competition. For the first time in numerous championships he actually faces some true challenges, from both the embittered long-time runner-up ALED BROOKES and the enigmatic newcomer, KEN HARRIS. ALED used to be on top of his game, but his losing streak has greatly affected his life and only increased his desperate need to win. As the competition heats up, the fierce rivalry between DOMINIC and ALED reaches fever pitch, KEN secures a surprise semi-final victory over DOMINIC but in the final round ALED narrowly wins the championship, regaining his pride.

We are currently looking for actors interested in playing:

KEN HARRIS is a young adult male that has a calm, collected and organised persona. Due to this, within the context of the film he is seen as a threat to the other players of the competition. He is a complete enigma to them since he is quiet, composed and virtually unknown; barely anyone knows who he is. KEN remains mostly silent and discreet throughout the narrative, but he is not a mute; he is simply focused and concentrated on the competition and just wants to have fun. He finds pleasure out of spontaneity and likes finding new experiences and things to do. As such, he most definitely an extrovert, despite his quiet demeanour, and gains enjoyment from being around his friends and others. He also have a good sense of wit and humour.

Actors DO NOT need to have a particularly great skill in pool as we will be working around these restrictions during post-production.
