CINDERELLA - Pantomime

at Redhouse Cymru, Merthyr Tydfil, December 2017

Director - Richard Burman, Musical Director - Callum Palmer, Producer - Cath Jones.

After a spectacular 2nd Pantomime Season in 2016, Redhouse Cymru are pleased to announce casting details for their next adventure  “Cinderella”. This timeless classic is set to arrive at 'Redhouse' this December with the same festive fun our patrons have come to expect from the in house production team. The team have built a solid reputation over the last couple of years, delivering quality shows and performances from local professionals as well as up and coming actors and actresses. A small venue with a lot of punch!

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic cast for this year’s production of Cinderella. This is a PAID position and as such you will be asked to sign a performance agreement for the duration of rehearsals and the 2 weeks run at Redhouse. (We should mention there is a possibility of a third week, this is still under discussion).

You need to have complete availability for rehearsals and performance. Preferably local professionals only please. Please note no additional fees or expenses can be paid for actors who live or are outside the region.

Provisional Show Dates are 11-23rd December (with extension into January pencilled) , Opening on the 14th December.

Rehearsals will be a mixture of evenings and weekends (No Sundays required)

As long as you can sell a song, be animated and funny at the same time, then you are perfect! Baritone/High baritones.

Baron Hardup – (45- 60) The weary, put upon father who can be a bit bumbling at times, not the brightest spark. Good Mover, singing an advantage. Baritone.

Ensemble Male / Female – (18 upwards) Great comedy timing, this is to cover small names roles, and not a ‘nameless’ ensemble casting. Must be able to hold a tune. Any voice range.

Fairy Godmother – (30-50) A very warm, comforting actress. Motherly with a sense of humour -  a story teller. Strong singing voice required. Mezzo/Soprano
