CITY OF THE UNEXPECTED

Wales Millennium Centre & National Theatre Wales

Directed by Nigel Jamieson

17-18 September 2016, Cardiff city centre

National Theatre Wales is casting for various roles in City of the Unexpected.

Cardiff will celebrate the centenary of one of its most well-known sons, Roald Dahl, with an extraordinary weekend-long event, showcasing both his distinctive voice and the jewels of the city’s buildings, parks and its people. The city will be transformed into a place where the laws of physics and civic predictability will give way to the laws of magic, mischief and the unexpected.

Professional performers will work alongside thousands of volunteers to create epic  outdoor events and intimate, unexpected moments throughout the city.

City of the Unexpected continues NTW’s tradition of collaborating with communities to create extraordinary theatre. All roles will involve aspects of working with non- professional performers and participants. We’re looking for generous company members who will enjoy working collaboratively and responsively.
