Creative Practitioner- Music specialist Needed

Gwenfo CIW School and St Fagans CIW school are inviting applications from Creative Practitioners (individuals / partnerships / studios / organisations) to work with two classes of Year 5 pupils (mixed girls and boys) to develop mathematical, problem solving skills, while focusing on collaboration and encouraging the learners to follow instructions. At this stage the brief is relatively open to allow for Creative Practitioners to work collaboratively with the two schools and their learners to develop the project and its outcomes in more detail.

Ideally they would like to work with a musician, singer or composer who may be able to introduce them to a wide range of instruments, songs and/or digital apps such as garage band, composition, music technology etc. The Creative Practitioner(s) must demonstrate a commitment to developing excellence in creative practice and an engaging and inspiring aptitude when working with others.

The two schools are exploring different themes in the spring term. The Blitz and Climate change and so this may be a good starting point for the projects.

The Creative Practitioner Fee is £250 per day, which may be shared between one or more practitioners and possibly split ½ days across the 2 schools. The schools are in close proximity so this will be achievable. We welcome team approaches and there is additional budget for materials, apps and other expenses (e.g. trips) towards the project, which will be agreed with school on appointment.
