Please sponsor me to Dance in Namibia!

I am Rhiannon, a physical theatre director/choreographer based in London. I have never been to Africa and I am not a trained dancer. My training is in theatre and I have produced many physical theatre/dance shows. This experience will develop my own technique and practice as well as allow me a fresh perspective on the uses of dance theatre. Before I go to Namibia I will be working on a solo dance piece which I will perform in Namibia. When I return to London I will further develop the performance taking on board my experiences in Namibia.

For three weeks I will work with the OYO Dance Troupe on a new dance show on a social topic. For my final week in Namibia we will perform the show around Namibia.

This would be an amazing life-changing opportunity for me and would really add a unique experience to my choreographing and community arts work. It really would enable me to explore working in a different environment and develop some amazing memories and friendships.
