Day 69 - "What!?!?!" - The New Theatre, Cardiff

I had missed all of Carl's emails. So by the time I spoke to him he was a a little frustrated. He had been trying to negotiate our travel plan to the next show in Cardiff, The Devil Inside Him. When I finally spoke to him on the phone at about 2pm my right eye was beginning to see strange shapes and I was concerned that I might be developing a migraine. I have only ever had one before and the wiggly lines at the edge of my vision accompanied by a nauseating feeling, felt unpleasantly familiar. So when Carl suggested that I might like to drive I was a little concerned that I might go blind. It was after I had expressed this to him that I remembered once visiting casualty because I had a headache. So I double dropped ibuprofen and paracetamol and agreed to get behind the wheel.
The hire car (it's hiring, a story too long and complex to tell here) was a Vauxhall Opel. I think. Adrian wasn't able to make it and Andrew was already in Cardiff. Carl and I made good time and got to the theatre with a half hour to spare. I felt a little drunk, even though I hadn't touched a drop, but the migraine seemed to be staying away.
The "What!?!?!" in the blog title, refers to the girl who yelled out in dismay during the second half of the show. The actors continued but the question hung in the air. The liveness of the event enables instant feedback, we clap, we laugh (not always in the right places) and on the odd occasion, we feel the need to shout out loud.
