DE GABAY - March 3rd - Information and Schedule for ticket and non-ticket holders

DeGabay has now sold out, but if you have family and friends who haven’t been able to purchase a ticket they can still attend most of the show.

 

See below for a schedule of ticketed and non-ticketed elements: 

 

Ticket Holders 

  • 10:00 - 11:30 - Check-in at Wales Millennium Centre Foyer to pick up your passport
  • 11:45 - 14:00 - Visits to homes across Butetown

Non - Ticket Holders 

  • 14:30 - 16:30 - Two parades: one starting at the top of Bute Street and other in Loudoun Sqaure ending at the Coal Exchange
  • 17:15 - 19:30 - A parliament at the Senedd  & a spectacular finale on the waterfront, Cardiff Bay

 

Digital Participation 

  • Anyone can contribute digitally on the show day by tagging tweets, videos, photos of the event with #DeGabay the more you contribute the greater record we will have of the event please follow @ntwtweets
  • Friday morning 1st March we will be announcing a way you can follow the event via a fictional hyper-local blog created by a TEAM of young local bloggers that will be reporting on all the action as it happens during the event

 

TICKET HOLDER INFORMATION 

Thank you for booking for De Gabay. Your adventure starts here, but before you arrive in Tiger Bay we need to update you with some local information.

  • If you haven’t already picked up your passport, please arrive between 10am – 11:30am at the DeGabay check in desk in the foyer of the Wales Millennium Centre to pick it up - you will need this throughout the show.
  • The first part of the show takes place in one of thirty local addresses – your passport will tell you what time and what address you need to go to. After that you will be told where to go and what time to go there – a map will be provided.
  • In some homes you will need to respect religious conventions – headscarves etc will be provided. In some locations you may be offered food – please take care if you have allergies.
  • The local weather forecast is set to be cold but dry so please wrap up warm and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. There will be plenty of chances throughout the show to be fed and get something warm!
  • Some of the audience members will enter into the Senedd parliament building. This will involve an airport security style search when entering the Senedd building, please be aware the same rules around sharp objects and contraband will apply.
  • If you want to participate in the day’s activity, tag your tweets, photos and videos with #DeGabay.
  • Our TEAM bloggers will be filming and taking photos throughout the show. Should you wish not to be interviewed, just let them know.
  • Please let the Ticket Office team know if you have any accessibility needs.
