Here's a brand new thing you can do with us!  If you are a creative spirit, interested in National Theatre Wales and ready to contribute to the life of the company, we're inviting you to put yourself forward for the role of NTW Artist of the Year 2013.  You get £10,000 and we get your ideas and input.  

This opportunity is targeted particularly at artists/creative folk who have a bit of experience under their belt - we want to learn from you!  We are very open about who can apply - life-experience may be just as important as awards and publications; we are interested in all sorts of creative spirits, not just theatre people; and we are very open about what you will do.  You won't have to come in to sit at a desk on a daily basis, and you don't have to write a play, or design a show, or build a set or form a band.  But we want you to be a key part of the company for the year - feeding into decisions we make about programming, about the future of the company, and about how we support other artists. We'd love it if you made us laugh or cry, told us old stories, or strange bits of knowledge, and introduced new people and ideas to NTW.

If you are interested, send us a message, or a letter, or an email, or a video, or an interactive sculpture (you get the point!) talking about why you'd like to bring your expertise and creativity to NTW for the year, and add a couple of ideas about what you might get up to.  Don't send us a CV, but please do make sure that you have a profile on this network containing as much info as possible about you. 

We'll invite a small selection of applicants to be 'artist for the day' at various points in January, and then announce our 'artist of the year'.
