The day after Emergence!!

We had an incredible day at Chapter yesterday. There were around 70 people from the arts community from some of Wales' biggest organisations to individual freelance artists - writers, visual artists and performers. It was an extraordinary gathering. There were inspiring presentations from Paul Allen from Centre for Alternative Technology and Alison Tickell from Julies's Bicycle. John from NTW responded to the 'One Wales One Planet' document and challenged us as a community to pull our creative fingers out and be part of (or even lead) the discussion and action on sustainability in Wales. A movement was launched. We discussed and found tools to help us reduce our carbon emmissions, spoke about creating work which is inspired by 'Zero Carbon Britain' and had open conversations, artist to artist without defensiveness or private agendas. It was a really positive day. People left wanting more. Emergence has been born - thanks to all the midwives who were in attendance! More to follow....
