Family friendly arts - with ITC, TMA and more

There's a move afoot to try to engage even more (and better) with families - and as part of that the ITC, TMA and other artform lead organisations (like VAGA and ABO) have joined together to form a consortium. They're going to do several things:

- share headline information from their research around triggers to and barriers for engagement by families in the arts

- co-ordinate a programme for a Family Friendly Arts Festival later in the autumn (Oct/ Nov 2013, and again in 2014)

- host training, CPD and other events in this area

- and other things, inc creating local family arts networks and maybe even trialling a kite mark for family friendly events or venues

There's more on the campaign here: http://www.tmauk.org/ffa.aspx

And a link to the conference in Birmingham on 15 April where they will launch the whole thing and reveal their headline research findings: http://www.tmauk.org/Events/BookableEventDetail.aspx?eventId=180
