National Youth Arts Wales are seeking to create a pool of enthusiastic and committed people from a wide range of backgrounds to join our Welfare Team.

The NYAW Welfare Teams provide essential support to young people in the national youth ensembles as well as projects and programmes. Most of our ensemble activity takes place during school holidays, mainly the summer, however we also run activity year-round. Our programme can range from online workshops to longer term residencies and tours. Young people from all over Wales come to us and we go to all corners of Wales to deliver our programmes.

Given the age of the young people we work with, we have a minimum age limit of 25 for these roles although there is no maximum age limit. As we strive to create as inclusive an environment as possible, we are particularly interested in recruiting people from under-represented backgrounds including the global majority as well as people with lived experience of disability. Full training will be given and all successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Our activities take place all across Wales and we run some of our activities bi-lingually, and will need to prioritise Welsh speakers for certain roles.

NYAW is a Disability Confident Committed employer, and we would encourage applicants with particular access needs to contact us to ensure that we meet these at all stages of the recruitment process.

Application deadline: 11:59pm, Monday 11th April 2022
