Freshly graduated....please impart wisdom.

Its that time of year again when young theatre practitioners across the country have to move out of their students digs (or putrid alcohol stained squats, however you like to look at it) and find ‘real jobs’ in whatever this ‘real world’ is. Luckily for us theatre never is quite the ‘real world’, and hopefully we will still get it dream big in our jobs.

So the questions is.....whats next?....I've just finished at university (Trinity School of Theatre and Performance, Carmarthen) and as promised I have been trained in a number or highly desirable skills, from stage management to scenic art and everything in between (and if you ask Elise Davison she will even tell you that while doing my job as Stage Manager on her last project I threw a little bit of acting to the deal).

So....shower me with advice.....confide in me all the secrets you wish you could have imparted on your younger self....and hell if your feeling generous any job offers wouldn't go a miss.

I am here eagerly awaiting your wisdom oh wise ones.

try and get a 'shadow' placement (have to work for free - but it will be worth it) to prove your ability and be in the right place at the right time - goodluck
