Hoffwn ni cwrdd â grwpiau o bobl yn bennaf yng Nghaerdydd, Casnewydd a Merthyr i gydlynu gyda’n taith - Y Brain/Kargalar fydd yn cael ei pherfformio yn Chapter ar y 18fed a 19eg o Fehefin a Theatr Soar Merthyr ar y 21ain o Fehefin.

Cyn dod i Gymru, roedd aelodau Be Aware productions yn byw ac yn gweithio yn eu mamwlad, Twrci. Honnwyd gan Lywodraeth Twrci bod eu drama olaf yno, Mi Minor, yn ‘rhagymarferiad’ ar gyfer protestiadau 2013 Parc Gezi yn Istanbul. Fe’u gorfodwyd gan yr ymgyrch i’w pardduo a ddilynodd hynny i adael y wlad a dechrau byw yng Nghymru. Mae’r ymgyrch hon yn eu herbyn yn parhau  ac erbyn hyn mae’r llywod...

Be Aware Productions are offering workshops, talks and question and answer sessions on a number of hot topics between the 10th and 15th of June.

Are you or a group you are a member of, interested in a free workshop, or talk on any of the following topics?

Language - using multiple languages as part of a theatrical experience

Freedom of speech

Identity and belonging

We will come to your venue/community centre/space or find a suitable space nearby to run a bespoke workshop or talk for your group. This could be between 1 and 3 hours long. This opportunity is free - we want to meet with different groups of people and share our skills, experiences and stories and hear yours in return.

We would like to connect with groups in Cardiff, Newport and Merthyr to link in with our current tour Y Brain/Karagalar that will visit Chapter Arts Centre on the 18th and 19th of June and Theatr Soar Merthyr on the 21st of June.

Before they came to Wales they lived and worked in the native Turkey. Their last play there, Mi Minor was accused by Turkish government officials and pro-­government media of being the “rehearsal” for the 2013 Gezi Park protests in Istanbul. The resulting smear campaign forced them to leave the country and start living in Wales. - The Turkish government have now brought a court case against them asking for a life sentence in prison without parole.

Sizin toplanmak için uygun gördüğü herhangi bir yere gelebilir ve seçtiğiniz konular çerçevesinde 1-3 saatlik bir atölye çalışması yapabiliriz. Atölye çalışmalarımızdan hiçbir ücret talep etmiyoruz, amacımız yeni insanlarla tanışıp hikayemizi, deneyimlerimizi paylaşmak ve sizin hikayelerinizi ve deneyimlerinizi dinlemek.

18-19 Haziran’da Cardiff’teki Chapter Arts Center’da ve  21 Haziran’da Merthyr’daki Theatr Soar’da devam edecek olan Y Brain / Kargalar’ın yaz turnesi çerçevesinde Cardiff, Newport ve Merthyr'daki gruplarla bağlantı kurmaya hazırız.

Galler’e gelmeden önce İstanbul’da yaşayan ve orada üreten Be Aware ekibinin, Türkiye’de sahnelenen son tiyatro oyunları Mi Minör, Türk hükümet yetkilileri ve hükümet yanlısı medya tarafından 2013 Gezi Parkı protestolarının provası olmakla suçlandı. Bu karalama kampanyalarının sonucunda ülkeyi terk etmek zorunda kalan ekip Galler’e yerleşti. Şu anda Türkiye’de haklarında açılan yeni davada ağırlaştırılmış müebbet istemiyle yargılanıyorlar.
