3 x male actors wanted to play: Ebenezer Scrooge - (25-35yrs acting range); Bob Cratchitt (25-35yrs Acting range) and Jacob Marley (30+ range)

We have found our actresses and we now need our actors for a modern version of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. To be performed at the Chapter Arts Centre Stwdio theatre on 18th/19th/20th December, this is paid work through a profit share. All actors will be paid equally, regardless of who is the lead,

This adaptation tackles the deeper motivations and emotions of Jake Marley, mentor to Ebs Scrooge, , Marley is devious, angry at the world, destructive in terms of his marriage and his friendships. Once dead, he now searches for the answer to questions that have been bugging him for seven years: Where was my chance to be redeemed? Why Scrooge and not me?

Ebs, a young, impressionable man who ends up on the verge of self-destruction. Will he lose everything before he realises what's most important?

Bob Cratchitt, single, former best friend to Scrooge, pushed aside by older Jake, betrayed by the love of his life, by his best friend, by the world. Can even the humblest of men find happiness in a world seemingly bent on ensuring his misery?

Rehearsals this Saturday, 5th October, at Trinity Church Hall, Room 2, from 1pm to 3pm, with the director of Leftfield Theatre Company, Rowena Moreno.
