If you're heading up, I would like to whole-heartedly recommend Orphans by Dennis Kelly at the Traverse (though you'll have to fight for a ticket) and My Name is Sue by Dafydd James and Ben Lewis, at the Pleasance Courtyard. My Name is Sue was so good we saw it twice - Orphans was so good that I don't think I could bear seeing it again.

Have to agree with you - Orphans was brilliant - particularly considering we saw it at 10.15 in the morning - the worst for wear from the night before - it cleared the hangover and exhilarated us - three fantastic actors - a thrilling script that captured the spirit of the times and raised all sorts of awkward uncomfortable questions - unobtrusive yet tight direction - steal or murder someone to get a ticket!!!

Great! My Name is Sue was already on my Edinburgh Hit List! Going up last week of August, so hopefully will have lots of things to report back on too x
