Llandrindod Wells CIW Community Primary School, Trefonnen are looking for a Creative Music/Drama/Dance Practitioner to develop and carry out a creative project with seventeen Year 4 & 5 children in the Welsh language stream of the school.
It is anticipated that the project will take place in one day or half-day sessions each week from January - March 2019 followed by evaluation at the beginning of the Summer term. The fee is £250 per day/£125 per half day, plus reasonable expenses. The number of days allocated to the project is to be agreed, but will not be less than 10.
Numeracy
The focus of the project should be Numeracy. The school would like to measure the impact of the project on: number skills in particular, engagement and confidence building.
Active
The activity should have a focus on group work. At least part of the project should take part outside of the classroom, on school ground or in the surrounding area, with an opportunity to engage parents/carers.

The Lead Creative Schools Scheme aims to promote new ways of working in schools through developing an innovative programme of learning in collaboration with Creative Practitioners, that is designed to improve the quality of creative teaching and learning and to embed this practice within schools.
In Lead Creative Schools, pupils, teachers and creative professionals work together to plan, implement, reflect and evaluate a creative project or projects. It facilitates a process where all the partners work together to co-construct the learning. It supports enquiry based learning, ongoing reflection and in-depth evaluation, leading to sustainable and embedded practice.
We believe that creativity is not a skill bound within the arts, but a wider ability to question, make connections, and take an innovative and imaginative approach to problem solving.
