As 'The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning' contains a lot of content about LGBT and Gay rights, the last couple of days I took a look around Edinburgh's LGBT scene and spreading the word about the show.

Yesterday I watched 'The Open Wide Tour' a brutally honest contemporary performance about Gay rights and taboo.

The cast admit, the show isn't for everyone, and I'm glad they are aware of this as they don't hold back, they just accept that the message that their show contains is an important one, and unfortunately some people find the issues they confront hard to face up to. They deal with many harsh realities and true stories yet it never feels like a lecture. I have been to many performances that have strong messages and feel that I am being forced into an idea, but in this show I feel you can make your own mind up.

The performers have a great balance of intensity and lighter bits of comedy, they play their roles very honestly and are completely fearless.
