Wayne Adrian Drew’s new “play for voices” portrays the human face of New England author Howard Phillips Lovecraft, from birth to death. Via a kaleidoscope of dramatised scenes, period music, and extracts from his work, we are presented with a compelling portrait
of this supremely talented master of macabre fiction ‘warts and all’ that does not shy away from either his decidedly problematic societal beliefs or complex and damaged personality.
