London Showcase Reading of a New Play Planned

VALEDICTION - casting will soon be underway for the first London table read of a new play by award winning author Wayne Adrian Drew.

The play moves between a country parsonage in 1795 and a London residence in 1880. 

A true story, based on new research, it counterpoints two relationships on which social constraints impact with tragic results. 

The following actors are required for this first reading that may lead to a one night paid charity showcase rehearsed reading, before an audience of both the general public and senior professionals from the film, television & theatre industries, in early December.

Excellent sight reading is essential and the  ability to deliver witty period dialogue.

Auditions will be held from August for the following white Caucasian roles. Expressions of interest need to be made ASAP.

The Roles.

Male - playing age 25-30 
An invalid academic vicar. Intelligent and witty. RP essential.

Male - playing age 25-30
A University Lecturer.  Repressed but warm and friendly. RP essential.

Male - playing age 19-20
A young gardener and keen amateur football player. Amiable and good looking. London Working class accent.

Male - playing age  20-22
A charming, good looking, young Law Student. RP or Irish accent.

Female - playing age 20-25
An assertive young would-be author with an marked sense of wit and irony. RP essential.

Female - playing age 23- 25
A dutiful, prim daughter!  Good comic timing and RP essential.

Easy access to Greenwich, London, would be a decided advantage.
