Born Michael Christopher Sheen in Newport, Wales on the 5th February 1969 to Irene and Meyrick Sheen. Since childhood, Michael was a football fan, played after school until late at night can see the ball. He was 12-years old when during a holiday on the Isle of Wight, playing against a former Arsenal player, Tony Adams who was then 16 years. He was offered a place in the Arsenal youth team, but the family would move to London. The father refused to transfer the family and so Michael had to give up his dream as a footballer. His hanger lasted until the age of 14 when he entered the West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company and two years after he entered the National Youth Theatre of Wales. He played many works and attended many courses and, in the end he applied to ROYAL ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ARTS in London, where he was accepted. The rest is history. Among other works include: 'When she danced', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'A view from the bridge', 'Don't fool with love', 'Peer Gyint', 'Look back in anger', 'Henry V', 'Amadeus', 'Caligula', 'UN Inspector' then 'Frost/Nixon'. Now he's preparing this wonderful representation of THE PASSION with National Theatre of Wales and from October will be HAMLET, the most beloved character of all the great Shakespearean actors of all time!
I would like to thank on behalf of all his fans, Mr. Meyrick Sheen, because if he had agreed to move to London, we would not have had this wonderful actor in Theater and Film world view! Love XXX

Yes indeed. Most honored gratitude to Michael's parents. XOXO!!! (Brilliant shot of Michael!)
Maria, just got done reading some of your blog posts. My heart hurts that you have lost your mother. I dread the day that I too must face that fear. May you stay strong and know that someone you don't even know has you in their thoughts and prayers.
