First full day of rehearsal today on a new project, for Tent of Xerxes.

The Body of an American, by Dan O'Brien, tells the story of the friendship formed between the author and the Canadian war reporter Paul Watson. Watson took the famous, Pulitzer Prize-winning photo of a Somali mob desecrating the corpse of an American soldier in 1993. I play Watson, and Douglas Gray plays O'Brien. Between us, we also play a host of minor characters in a complex, quickfire, often brutal script.

It's a very challenging piece for both actor and audience, and I believe the rewards for both parties will be equally high. This is a play, I hope, that will live in the minds of those who see it for a long time after the curtain falls.

The piece will be performed on May 13th and 14th at the Swansea Grand Theatre's Arts Wing. Buy tickets HERE.
