Music Director - Wales Millennium Centre 10th Anniversary Event

Walk the Plank is a leading outdoor arts organisation, renowned for its pioneering creative approach and commitment to engagement and participation. Having started life as the UK’s first touring theatre ship, we remain dedicated to seeking out new audiences both at home and abroad, using creative shared experience to bring out the very best in people and places.

Wales Millennium Centre is a major world arts centre presenting music, opera, theatre, and dance and is also a home to a number of significant Welsh cultural organisations. As the Centre approaches its 10th anniversary, a special anniversary season is being created that will run from autumn 2014 through to autumn 2015. Walk the Plank has been commissioned to deliver the high-profile ‘moment’ in the anniversary programme, a large-scale outdoor performance in September 2015.

Walk the Plank are looking for a Wales based Music Director to work in collaboration with the Artistic Director, Creative Producer, Writer and other creative associates, to compose music, devise and produce the soundtrack and soundscapes, oversee the co-ordination of musicians and singers and to support the realisation of the Creative Vision for the Event

This is a freelance, fixed-term post until October 2015

The post will require flexibility, with the amount of days required on the project being agreed by you, the Artistic Director and Creative Producer

Salary is £6,000
