Sitting in my living room with the TV on in the background I sit and write my first ever blog post . . . But what to write about?

So I thought I'd write about my relationship with National Theare Wales, so far . . .

NTW18 is the second show that I will be helping to promote as part of the NTW TEAM, having been part of the comms TEAM for NTW17, and even though we have only had one meeting, I can tell that they are both going to be completely different experience.

For one thing, they are both completely different productions, for example they are performed in different spaces(NTW17 in a Theatre, NTW18 a site specific production in 3 different Schools) and both tell different stories set in different periods of time.

Then there is a different comms TEAM from NTW17, so I'm excited to work with and get to know and learn from the new members and Promoter.

Today we were invited to watch a rehearsal of NTW18 which turned out to be completely eye-opening, inspiring and such a privilege. It is so much easier to promote a show which you have seen/experienced because it drives you to want to support it and to tell everybody else how excited you are about it. It, also, makes it easier to communicate to others.

I am really looking forward to sitting in on more rehearsals and seeing the show develop. I'm looking forward to working with my other TEAM members and meeting other TEAMs from different parts of Wales. I'm looking forward to communicating with the people of Cardiff again and doing something a little bit extraordinary in a usually ordinary space . . .

Hi Sarah, thanks for this inspirational blog! I'm excited that you're part of the comms TEAM for The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning, and I know we'll have a great time all working together. Please keep the blogging up! x
