On Monday I began my new Job with National Theatre Wales as TEAM Assistant and I've had such a great week. It's been lovely meeting all the team properly and most importantly there is always lots of cake around, which is always good. It's been great in the office where no two days are the same, there is so much going on and can't wait for my visit to Greenman festival next weekend! (fingers crossed it won't rain)
I've always loved Cardiff so I'm also really excited to have just moved here. The past 3 years I have studied Performance: Dance Theatre at the University of Salford and I'm really going to miss my amazing friends and colleagues up North but I know I'll still be heading up there lots. Through my time at Salford I learnt a great deal about Performance, whether it was performing in productions at university or teaching dance and drama in communities with Tracing Steps Dance and Drama company. They are the two main elements of what I am passionate about, theatre and communities so I can not believe how lucky I am to find a job that has both!
One major thing that I am really looking forward to in my role is seeing the development of TEAM, I'm so excited to be part of the next steps of such a thriving community network and meet more TEAM members across Wales.I have been a TEAM member since I joined after the Aberystwyth assembly in 2011 and since becoming a member I have had so
many amazing experiences and opportunities with TEAM. Things I have been lucky enough to do with TEAM include marketing placements, performing in productions and gained invaluable advice and support from the entire National Theatre Wales team and I'm really keen for other people to be aware of all the exciting things that TEAM can offer them!
Join in on the action and become TEAM member by being part of the online community group HERE or come and see me in the office if you fancy a chat about TEAM
Look forward to seeing you soon!
