Almost exactly a year ago I started falling in love with National Theatre Wales when I began working as Emerging Director on Praxis Makes Perfect. The project was innovative and ambitious; the process was hard work, sometimes a little chaotic but illuminating, inspiring and so much fun.…  my experience on Praxis characterises NTW, for me, and in the last year I’ve been lucky enough to be involved with the company in a few different capacities; from Summercamp on sunny Anglesey, to putting up Silly Kings signage in the rain and lots more in between...

I’ve met some hugely helpful and talented people in and around the company so far, gained the insight and experience that’s helped me work out what I’d like to do and the confidence (mostly!) to call myself a director.

So I’m now really happy to be here more permanently as Executive Assistant. My job means I’ll be based in NTW’s Castle Arcade office and supporting the Exec team in their busy busy jobs. I’ve still got a lot to learn about the company and the industry and I'm excited to make a start this week. If you’d like to know more about what I do (once I’ve got the hang of it..!) or about NTW, just ask.

I am really looking forward to seeing this year’s shows come together and seeing lots of other exciting work in Wales too!

Oh, and you’ve got until midday on April 11th to apply to be Emerging Director on Mametz, I absolutely recommend it!
