National Theatre Wales are recruiting:

 

We are looking for Stage Managers to work with us on two high-profile productions in 2019.

On Bear Ridge – a new play by Ed Thomas being presented at Sherman Theatre and The Royal Court

 

Company Stage Manager 19th August – 9th November  

 

Assistant Stage Manager 19th August – 9th November

 

Mission Control – a site specific collaboration between NTW and Hijinx

 

Company Stage Manager 28th October – 24th November

 

Deputy Stage Manager 28th October – 24th November

 

Assistant Stage Manager 28th October – 24th November

 

Location for On Bear Ridge

Rehearse and open in Cardiff, transfer to The Royal Court.

 

Location for Mission Control

Rehearse and play in Cardiff.

 

Rate – CSM £610 per week, DSM £585 per week, ASM £535 per week

 

Criteria:

 

Skills and Experience that we consider important for the role

At least 2 years professional Experience

CSM and DSM

Experience of DSM / Book work

CSM and DSM

Proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with Director and creative team

All roles

Understanding of Qlab

DSM

Working knowledge of H&S

All roles

Experience working on shows in non-traditional settings

All roles – Mission Control only

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

All roles

 

Useful skills and experience

Full Clean Driving Licence

All roles

Working with and Supervising placements

ASM and CSM

Fluent Welsh Language

All roles

Experience of working on new writing and devised work

DSM

 

Personal Attributes

Ability to problem solve in time constrained situations; aiming to implement creative solutions
