This year NDCWales will be hosting a new Laboratori programme that brings together artists from the company and from the independent dance sector in Wales to test new choreographic ideas and ways of working. The Laboratori will offer these participants mentorship and stimulus to evolve and extend their usual ways of working.The Laboratori, supported by Groundwork Pro, the Cardiff-based collective of dance artists, will offer participants mentorship and stimulus to evolve and extend their usual ways of working.

Dates and mentors for the Laboratori will be:
Week one: 24 – 28th June
Lea Anderson (founder of iconic dance groups, The Cholmondeleys and of The Featherstonehaughs)


Week two: 1- 5th July
Éric Minh Cuong Castaing (Artistic Director of Shonen, a French company that works with dance, new technology and a diversity of performers).

Alongside those selected to participate as choreographers (see separate choreographer call out page), we are inviting independent dance artists to attend the Laboratori as movers. There are up to five places available each week.  This is a chance to attend Laboratori free of charge, to take class each morning and to support the choreographers involved under the mentorship of Lea Anderson and Éric Minh Cuong Castaing. 

This opportunity is open to  dancers who have completed professional training and and who have experience of participating in a variety of choreographic processes

NDCWales are inviting Independent dance artists to attend as movers. This is open to people who’ve completed professional training and who have experience of participating in a variety of choreographic processes.  Up to five places for movers are available each week. Eleni bydd CDCCymru yn cynnal rhaglen Laboratori newydd a fydd yn casglu ynghyd artistiaid o'r cwmni ac o'r sector dawns annibynnol yng Nghymru i brofi syniadau coreograffig a ffyrdd  o weithio newydd.
