Opportunities: Pulse & Sprint Festivals 2013

Over the last few months a lot of the conversations I've had with people making work have been around opportunities to present work beyond Wales. So I thought I'd draw your attention to these two festivals which have both started taking applications this week:

Sprint - Camden People's Theatre (London) - March 2013

Sprint is an annual festival of unusual and adventurous theatre and live art from the most exciting new artists and companies in the UK and worldwide.

Applications are now open for our 2013 festival, to be held March 1 to 24 (tbc). Ideally, proposals will be for work that is finished by March 2013, but we will also consider works-in-progress, ‘scratch’ performances and on-site artist development (see Starting Blocks). Work can take place inside and outside CPT, in the streets, on the waterways and byways beyond the theatre’s doors – as long as the company/artist has a realistic idea of how such a project might be achieved. Work can also happen in the virtual world and in the audience’s imagination. The work can be a piece for a large audience, or a one-to-one performance - or anything in between. We are particularly keen to receive submissions for off-site work.

Pulse - New Wolsey Theatre (Ipswich) - June 2013

Applications are now open for PULSE Fringe Festival 2013 which the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, will present from Thursday 30 May to Saturday 8 June. The application deadline is 8 January 2013.
The 10-day festival is a unique opportunity to see a wide range of top quality, engaging, emotionally charged, relevant, entertaining work and innovative thinking. PULSE offers a bright and inspiring snapshot of contemporary theatre and performance: finished shows, work in progress and new ideas. Join us at the end of May to laugh, shed a tear or two, be challenged and maybe have a bit of a think.

They are both festivals that I've made work for in the past so if you want any more info feel free to message me.
