Opportunity: Digital Artist-Practitioner sought for Creative Collaborations Project

Powys Dance is seeking a bilingual digital artist / practitioner for a Creative Collaborations project at Sennybridge Primary School (Brecon)

The project’s starting point is that we are all learners, we are all scientists and we are all artists. ‘We’ includes pupils, artists, teachers and parents. For a full day per week the school hall will be transformed into the Laboratory of Curiosity / Labordy Cywreinrwydd or the LAB. Children can bring their questions and artists will support them to explore answers through dance, theatre, music and digital technology. There is no theme or topic, only space to think about the world around us.

In the second half of the project, children will consider how they can not only explore but share the findings of the LAB via the art forms they have been using. The outcomes will then tour to Theatr Brycheiniog & Imperial College London.

We are looking to work with a bilingual digital practitioner with experience of child-led creative learning projects to work alongside another three practitioners to design and deliver the work.

Project dates: w/b 14th January - two days planning in Llandrindod Wells. Six Wednesdays in the school between 23rd January & 3rd April (excluding school holidays).

Fee: £150 per day

To apply, please send your CV and cover letter to amanda@dawnspowysdance.org by Friday 11th January.

This project has been funded by Arts Council of Wales
