PRODUCERS - Stage One have launched Bridge the Gap!!

Stage One have launched Bridge the Gap, a new initiative developed specifically for people currently under-represented within the producing community.

Over the course of a year, Bridge the Gap will offer training and opportunities to 10 participants to support and guide them. This will be an opportunity for Stage One to build a long term relationship with a range of producers throughout their careers.

Joseph Smith, Chief Executive of Stage One, said:

“Change needs to happen across our whole industry. We want to encourage and be a part of that change, which is why we have created Bridge the Gap. We identified that there were people who weren’t engaging with our training – whether that be for personal, financial or other circumstances and wanted to address it. We hope that this unique and bespoke scheme can welcome a better represented pool of producers in to Stage One and enable them to participate in the work we do.”

Bridge the Gap will include:

 A free place on the three day New Producers Workshop.

 Tailored masterclasses focusing on career progression and development, which will be adapted to the needs of the participants.

 Tickets and access to West End shows.

 A year-long mentorship programme, participants will be partnered with a mentor that will be able to support them and cater to their commercial producing needs.

 Regular meetings with Stage One staff and producers, who will check in and offer to help with their development; offering employment advice and industry support.

Bridge the Gap will take place over the course of a year, (Oct ‘18 – Oct ‘19) applications are now open and close on Monday 3rd September.
