Promoter - 1800 hrs DEADLINE 12 Noon TOMORROW 3rd March

1800 hrs are a collective of artists who met during a National Theatre Wales residency. Artists come from a diverse range of disciplines; from directors to performance artists, filmmakers and circus performers. 

 

With support from NTW, 1800 hrs will host a varied exhibition of work in Cardiff at The Abacus from the 26-28th April. As well as performances over the 3 days, the event will host open door sessions, inviting the public in to see the artists at work. Artists will be available for questions and discussion of the work and/or their process.

 

We are seeking an experienced Promoter with producing skills to take the lead in publicising the event. The role of the Promoter will be involved in designing and delivering an online and paper publicity/marketing campaign in the run-up to and during the beginning of the event. They will be charged with inviting appropriate guests, as well as attracting public audiences.

 

Person Specification Essentials

 

  • Able to contribute and support a design team
  • Experience of promotion within the arts
  • Ability to support the ideas of others as well as to take the lead
  • Experience of handling a tight budget
  • Sound knowledge of utilising social media applications

 

Immediate start. It is envisaged that the role is part-time, equating to approximately 5 full days over the period. Actual time and dates to be negotiated upon appointment.

 

Promoters fee: £500

It should be made clear that this is a part-time post, although the Promoter will take the lead, it will be a team effort.
