It's the final morning of the Louder is Not Always Clearer WalesLab week.  In my first blog, I promised further updates and alas, loyal reader, I have let you down.  So here's a very quick update as we head towards this afternoon's sharing.

R&D's are funny beasts.  As most of you will already know, it takes the first 2 or 3 days to start scratching the surface of what you're exploring, but it's not much longer until you become aware that you need to provide something tangible to share for an audience, and what would garner the most useful feedback.  We were all aware of the switch yesterday afternoon, as we looked to gather what we'd been exploring to put together the "edited highlights" of 4 full days of work.  It's tough, but really necessary.  Without giving anything away, the sharing will involve a mixture of improvisations and set-pieces, and heightened physicality with soundscapes, and the presence of an audience will be so useful in terms of getting an immediate response.

I'm watching the team re-visit different aspects of what we've looked at as I write this, and it's extremely exciting to see where the initial thoughts and ideas have taken us, how we've looked at things and areas we didn't expect to look at.  The team has been superb, a mixture of disciplines, deaf and not deaf, all sharing personal stories and viewpoints which has shaped the work we've done so far.

What is clear is that this isn't the end, it's definitely just the beginning.
